Key Stage 3 students recently participated in a range of activities in their English lessons (and in their own time!) to raise money for The Roald Dahl Foundation and Sargent Cancer Care for Children. These charities aim to make the lives of children, who are suffering from serious illnesses, brighter by funding projects such as the 'Child Cancer Helpline' and Outdoor Activity days.
Our students were congratulated on their efforts and success by Readathon Director, Brough Girling, who thanked the students for the brilliant £1,180.20 that they raised! We would like to extend these thanks to all of the sponsors who supported our students; we couldn't have done it without you!
As well as raising lots of money for these deserving causes, we also had lots of fun reading!
