Just before half term holidays we recieved the stunning news that our team had actually been runners up in the Manchester Regional Final of the Magistrate's Competition and were now to proceed to the National Final in Leeds on June 21st 2008.
With Mr Parry our local St Helens Magistrate we rehearsed on Citizenship Day and are looking forward to prosecuting the Harold "Clarke" case on harrassment and defending the "Merryweather" case on drink driving.
Best Wishes to the whole team and congratulations on reaching the final 18 across the whole of the U.K.

Magistrates National Final:
We entered a team for the 'Year 9 Magistrates Trial Competition' and won the local heat and were the only team to enter from St Helens secondary schools and people from the court were thrilled.
With the help of a mum in year 7 we were able to rehearse with a Lawyer from a Liverpool practice called Donal McGuire. We also met our local magistrate Mr Parry who offered his help for the future.
On May 10th at Manchester Magistrates Court the second trial was held and we came 2nd enabling us to qualify for the National final which we are busy preparing for!
