Rainford High Technology College extends a very warm welcome to our students from China who arrive today, Thursday 10th July and stay until Wednesday 16th July. Fifteen students and three staff are arriving from Southern China.
Mrs Aylward, AST in Modern Foreign Languages at Rainford High recently established the link with Guangzhou English Boarding school and set up this exciting and unprecedented exchange programme.
Current Year 10 Gifted and Talented linguists are to host the 'Stars of the School' and pay a return visit this coming October.
Outings planned include a trip to Manchester United Football Club (requested by the Chinese students), a day out at Shugborough Hall in Stafford and of course, no visit to Merseyside would be complete without visiting the European Capital of Culture for 2008 - taking a Ferry Across the Mersey and visiting the various museums.

"We are even trying to learn to speak a bit of Chinese" said Becky
