1st Day

Big day today. We have Chinese exchange students paying us a visit. They will be with us until the 16th July and are staying at the homes of some of our student families. They arrived at 11:55am and we went to meet them.

There was a gift exchanging ceremony soon after at around 12:15. We went on to have lunch, which was in the library. At around 1:15 we took the students and their teachers on a tour of the school. After this, instead of going to form, we went to Spanish, E106, and did lots of different activities such as: describing our home towns and countries, millionaire quiz, jigsaw puzzles of our respective countries & even tried to teach our new Chinese friends some Spanish. There were prizes for the best performers. Theresa (taught by Laura) won a Union Jack cap!

At 3:30 the students were collected by the different families and taken home. The rest of the evening was pretty much taken up by parent’s evening. The end of a very exciting first day!
