Our School Awards
World Book Day Celebrations!

To mark World Book Day 2007 on Thursday 1st March, a number of activities will be taking place:

Dressing Up

As part of the celebrations, we will be doing book-based activities in Years 7 and 8 lessons and the English staff will be dressing as characters from books.

Vouchers

ALL students have been sent a £1 voucher towards the purchase of a book from their local bookshop. It can also be exchanged for one of the special books produced each year to commemorate the day. The event is a partnership of publishers, booksellers and interested parties who work together to promote books and reading for the personal enrichment and enjoyment of all.

Fancy taking part in our Library Quiz Competition?

We are running a quiz competition, with all correct entries going into a draw for a £5 WHSmith voucher. Students can obtain copies of the quiz from the Library or the English teachers or download a word document.

All you have to do is complete our puzzle sheet correctly, making sure you add your name and form, then hand it in at the Library

Completed entries should be returned to the library by 3.15 on Friday 2nd March.

Good Luck!
