Mrs Aylward has recently established a link with Ohwimase M.A.'A' High School in Kumasi, the 2nd capital of Ghana in West Africa. The school has 400 students and 15 staff and would like to develop ICT in their curriculum.
9H1 Spanish have started to correspond with the Ghanaian students and have sent introductory letters and photos of themselves and our school. We are extremely keen to learn more about their culture.
Here are a few comments from 9H1 Spanish students:
“On the 19th May we decided to hold a cake sale to raise money to help the students in our link school in Ghana.”
“The sale was a huge success and we raised a massive £100.”
“Our class would like to do more fundraising events to make sure the children in Ghana receive better resources and a better education.”
