Bienvenue A La Journee Internationale A Bleak Hill!
Ten Year 9 French students accompanied Mrs Coulson to Bleak Hill Primary School to help out with their International Languages' Day. The theme was the departure lounge and the Year 2 students were involved in a carousel of 4 activities, helped by our Year 9 students. They had to create their own Identity Cards, pack their suitcase, find some local infromation on the web about Paris and then plan their route across Paris to visit famous landmarks. Finally, they boarded their flight to Paris and were served a French breakfast by Rainford's finest Flight Attendants! Later in the day we enacted a European market where our students sold authentic French, Spanish, German and Italian delights to the Year 2 students. They had their work cut out as the Primary students were not at all convinced! They had to do a lot of persuading but finally there were some takers for the olives, roasted peppers, cured ham, goats cheese and sauerkraut!
