Manchester Geography Revision
All GCSE Geography students have the unique opportunity to attend a one day revision conference in Manchester on the 6th March.
The cost of the day will be £19.25 and cheques should be made payable to Rainford High Technology College.
We still have a few places left so students must see their Geography teacher with the reply slip & payment as soon as possible. If you have lost your letter please come to collect another one.
The day will focus on developing and improving revision techniques as well as looking at case studies. There are various sessions to attend including:
- Looking at the Lake District as a case study
- Ways of making revision more efficient
- Ways of retaining, organising and accessing information
- Looking at volcanic hazards & recent examples and how they can be used to answer case study questions
- Looking at how examiners award marks
- Developing map work skills and how to get the highest marks available
- Looking at Milton Keynes and how it can be used to help with questions for the Settlement Topic
- There is also the opportunity to win prizes
Regardless of ability this day will benefit all students who study Geography but there are only limited places. Students will be taken by coach but will need to bring a packed lunch. | Posted on Monday, February 18, 2008 (Archive on Monday, February 18, 2008) Posted by admin Contributed by admin
